Late Effects in Cancer Survivors - 4th biennial Sheffield meeting
A unique meeting bringing together healthcare professionals from a variety of specialisms across the UK and abroad, to focus on the long term consequences of cancer and its treatments.

Our conference is endorsed by several societies and attended by a very broad spectrum of healthcare professionals including medical and clinical oncologists, haematologists, endocrinologists, gastro-enterologists, nurses and allied health professionals. The meeting provides an important forum for knowledge exchange and the development of management plans and research exploring the late effects in cancer survivors.
The format of the meeting is highly interactive with delegates. We include a great variety of educational formats including presentations from world leading experts, debates on controversial issues and original formats including a Dragons Den (2010) and a Balloon Debate (2012) to try and tackle some of the most critical issues in survivorship. You will see in our 2012 programme outline that we have attracted some of the leading figures in cancer survivorship practice and research to join us in Sheffield.
The Cutlers' Hall in Sheffield provides an ideal location situated at the centre of the UK, with a variety of meeting rooms and wonderful banqueting facilities. In the heart of Sheffield, it offers easy access to transport and hotels. We very much look forward to welcoming you to our 4th biennial meeting.
Testimonials about the March 2010 meeting
"The Late Effects meeting I think was one of the most exciting meetings that I have ever been to. I truly believe that late effects has come of age and that you have brought to the table both oncology and related specialties including endocrinology. The organisation of the meeting was 100% perfect and we all know that this can only be achieved by close attention to detail. You had a wonderful team..."
"I am sitting on the train back to London reflecting on the past two days and have to confess I am blown away by what you are all doing in Sheffield from both a clinical and research perspective. It brings home yet again though how much depends on having the right people in the right places to make a difference for patients."
"The conference I attended 2 years ago for the first time was excellent - but most important was the acknowledgement in such a grand location, amongst UK doctors, that these late effects do exist. This makes a world of difference to survivors, long term or otherwise - I cannot tell you how much..."
